Hello. I am a 3D Printer. I am like a magical building machine. I love to make fun things. Imagine you want a new toy. You can draw it on a computer screen, and I can build it for you. I build it layer by layer, with tiny, tiny little layers. It is like building with blocks that you cannot see. First there is nothing, and then, poof. A brand new toy car or a little dinosaur appears. Isn't that exciting? I help make ideas real, just for you.

A kind man named Chuck Hull helped bring me to life. He was my very first friend and he had a big imagination. Way back in the year 1983, Chuck had a big, wonderful idea. He looked at pictures on his computer and dreamed of turning them into real things you could hold in your hand. He worked very hard to make his dream come true, and I was so happy to help him. One day, he used a special light that danced back and forth, and I felt so excited. I started building my very first thing. Slowly, slowly, a shape started to grow. It was a tiny little teacup, just the right size for a doll. It appeared like magic, layer by tiny layer. I was so proud. Chuck was so happy. We made something new together.

Now, I get to help people all over the world build amazing things. I make new, colorful toys for children to play with. I can make a bright red car or a sparkly blue castle. I also help doctors by building special tools that help people feel better. It makes me feel very helpful and happy. I love helping bring imagination to life.
