John F. Kennedy
Hello there. My name is Jack, and I have a story for you. A long time ago, in the year 1917, I was born into a big, happy family. I had so many brothers and sisters. We loved to run and play games together all day long. My favorite thing in the whole world was the ocean. I loved sailing on my little boat, feeling the wind push the sails. The big blue water would splash, and it always made me smile. The sea was like a giant playground, and I dreamed of exploring it forever. It was my happy place.
When I grew up, I still loved the sea, so I became a sailor to help my country. One night, while I was on my boat, there was a big bump. It was very dark and a little scary. But I looked at my friends, and I knew I had to be brave. I told them, 'We will be okay if we stick together.' We all swam through the water to a small island. We shared our food and told stories to keep our hearts warm. We helped each other feel safe until a big boat came to rescue us. I learned that being a helper is the best thing you can be.
After I came home, I wanted to find new ways to help everyone in my country. The people of America chose me to be their president. That's like being the leader of a big team. I had so many big dreams. I dreamed that we could fly all the way to the moon and touch the stars. I also started something called the Peace Corps. It sent kind people all around the world to help others build schools and have clean water to drink. My story ended, but my dream didn't. I always believed that you can make the world a better, kinder place, just by helping one person at a time.
