The Twelve Labors of Hercules
In a sunny land called Greece, a king named Eurystheus had some very big jobs that needed to be done. The king knew someone very, very strong who could help. His name was Hercules, and he had muscles bigger than coconuts! The king made a special list of hard things for Hercules to do. This was the story of The Twelve Labors of Hercules.
First, Hercules had to meet a big, big lion with golden fur that was shiny and bright. ROAR! went the lion. But Hercules was very brave and very strong. He won! Next, the king wanted Hercules to catch a super-fast deer with shiny golden horns that glowed. Whoosh! The deer ran just like a kite on a windy day. But Hercules was fast, too! Whoosh! He gently caught the deer. Then came a very messy job. The stables were stinky and needed a big cleaning. Hercules was so smart! He found a river, and SPLASH! The water went whoosh and washed everything all clean. He even found a garden with glowing golden apples and brought them back for the king.
Hercules finished all twelve tricky jobs. He did every single one because he never gave up, even when things were hard. Hercules was strong in his arms, and he was strong in his heart, too. Being strong in your heart means you are brave and kind and you always try your best. We still tell stories about the hero Hercules today. He helps us remember to be brave and to always try our best, so we can be heroes in our own big and small ways, too.
