Blue Whale

Hello! I am a Blue Whale, and I am the biggest animal in the whole wide world. I am so long that I am like three big buses all lined up in a row. My heart is very big, too. It is as big as a small car! When it beats, it makes a big thump-thump sound. It is like a little car going vroom vroom inside me. I love swimming through the big, blue ocean every day.

Even though I am so big, I eat something very, very tiny. My favorite snack is a little pink swimmer called krill. To eat, I open my mouth and take a giant gulp of ocean water. It is full of krill! I have special baleen plates in my mouth that work like a strainer. When I push the water out, all the yummy krill stay behind for me to eat. I also love to sing. I sing loud, rumbly songs that travel far, far away in the ocean. This is how I talk to my whale friends who might be swimming many miles away.

I have a very important job in the ocean. I am a big ocean helper! My poop helps tiny little plants grow in the water. These plants are very special because they make the air that everyone in the world needs to breathe. I love swimming and singing my songs in the deep blue sea. It makes me happy to know that I am helping to keep our beautiful world healthy for everyone.
