Albert Einstein: A Story of Wonder

Hello. My name is Albert. A long, long time ago, in the year 1879, I was born. When I was a little boy, my hair was always a bit messy, and my head was always full of big questions. I loved to look at the world and wonder how everything worked. One day, my father showed me a small compass. I watched the little needle inside wiggle and dance. It always pointed the same way, no matter which way I turned it. Wow. I wondered, what invisible power made it do that? It felt like magic. I wanted to know everything about our amazing world, from the tiniest things you can't see to the big, twinkling stars in the sky.

I loved to think and imagine all day long. Sometimes I would do my best thinking while riding my bicycle or playing my violin. The happy music helped my mind dream. I once imagined what it would be like to ride on a zooming beam of light. Whoosh. I would fly through space faster than anything. These fun daydreams were like little games in my head, but they helped me understand big, secret ideas about space and our world. I even wrote down a special secret code, E=mc², that helps explain how the sun and stars shine so brightly and give us warm light.

I grew up and became a scientist so I could spend all my time thinking and share my ideas with everyone. I learned that being curious is the most important thing. Always ask 'why?'. And 'how?'. It is the best adventure you can have. I lived a long, happy life full of thinking and wondering. After many years, I grew very old, and then my time on Earth was done. But my ideas have helped people in many ways, and I hope they inspire you to keep wondering and dreaming, just like I did.
