Thomas Edison: The Boy with Bright Ideas

Hello there. My name is Thomas Edison, but my family called me Al. When I was a little boy, I was full of questions. I always wanted to know how things worked. I would ask my mom, 'Why is the sky blue?' and 'How do birds fly?'. I loved doing little experiments in my basement to find the answers. Some people thought I was too noisy and asked too many questions, but my mother told me to always stay curious.

When I grew up, I built a giant workshop. It was like a magical toy factory, but instead of toys, we made inventions. We called it my 'invention factory.'. My amazing team and I would work all day and even all night, trying to come up with bright ideas. Our biggest idea was to make a safe, glowing light that could chase away the dark. We tried and tried, over and over again. It was hard work.

And then, one day, it worked. On October 22nd, 1879, we created a little glass ball with a tiny glowing string inside—the light bulb. It lit up the whole room. I also invented a machine that could record my voice and play it back. It was like teaching a box to talk. I never stopped being curious, and that’s how I helped make the world a brighter place. Always remember to ask questions and never give up on your bright ideas.
