George Washington's Big Dream for a New Home
Hello! My name is George Washington, and I want to tell you a story about a very special home. I lived in a beautiful land with tall green trees, big wide rivers, and lots of wonderful friends. We all loved our home very much. But there was a king who lived far, far away across a big ocean. He kept making rules for us that didn't feel fair. It was like someone telling you how to play in your own backyard, but they had never even visited! We had a big idea, a wonderful dream we called 'freedom.' Freedom meant we could make our own choices and our own rules for our home. We believed that the people who lived in a place should be the ones to take care of it. We all wanted to work together to make this big, happy dream come true for everyone.
To make our dream happen, I became the leader of many brave friends. We were soldiers, and we wore special blue coats. It was my job to help everyone work together like a big team. Sometimes it was very cold, and we would sit by a warm campfire, sharing stories and snacks to keep our spirits up. We had to be very brave, but being together made us strong. We helped each other and promised to never give up on our dream. After a lot of hard work, we did it! We made our dream of freedom come true. We built a brand new country called the United States of America, a place where we could make our own fair rules. It showed me that when friends work together with kind hearts, they can do amazing things.
