Flash Drive

Hello there. I am a Flash Drive. I am very small, but I am a super helper. You can hold me right in your hand. My job is to keep your special things safe and sound. I hold your colorful pictures, your favorite songs that make you dance, and all your wonderful stories from the computer. Before I came along, my cousins were big, round disks. They were clunky and not very easy to carry around. But I am little and strong. I love helping you carry your computer's memories with you, right in your pocket. It is the best job in the world for me.

I was born a long, long time ago, around the year 1999. A very clever and kind man named Dov Moran helped make me. He lived in a sunny place called Israel, and he worked with his friends. They had a big, bright idea. They wanted to create something tiny that could hold lots of important computer files without being big or heavy. They were like builders making a tiny house for your drawings and songs. They worked very hard, carefully putting all my little parts together. There were shiny bits and small pieces that had to fit just right. When they finally finished, I was born. I was so happy and excited to be ready to help people all over the world.

My big job is to make your life easier. I am like a tiny, magic backpack for your computer. You can put your schoolwork inside me to take to your teacher. You can save pictures of your family and your funny pets. You can even carry music for a dance party wherever you go. All you have to do is plug me into a computer, and I share what I am holding. I feel so proud when I help you share your amazing ideas and save your happy memories. It makes me feel warm and sparkly inside to know I am keeping your treasures safe every single day.
