The Smallest Country with the Biggest Heart
Hello there. I am a very special place. I am a tiny, tiny country tucked inside a big, busy city called Rome. I have a giant, round roof that looks like it is giving the sky a big hug. It is so round and so tall. I also have a big open square with two long arms made of stone columns. My arms reach out to give everyone a big welcome hug. I am Vatican City. I am the smallest country in the whole wide world, but I have a very big heart.
A very long time ago, people wanted to build a special place for peace and kindness. So they started building me. My biggest building was built stone by stone, like the biggest block tower you have ever seen. They started building it long, long ago, in the year 1506. It took many, many years to finish. Inside my walls, there are amazing, colorful stories painted right on the ceiling. A wonderful artist named Michelangelo painted them to make everyone smile. Then, in 1929, I officially became my very own tiny country. I even have my own guards who wear fun, colorful outfits that look like a rainbow.
Today, friends from all over the world come to visit me. They walk under my big dome and stand in my welcoming square. They come to see the beautiful paintings and feel happy and peaceful. They love to share special moments here with their families. Even though I am the smallest country, my heart is as big as the whole world. I love sharing my beauty and my happy stories with everyone who comes to say hello. I am here to remind you that even the smallest places can have the biggest hearts.
