My Wiggly Life as a Clownfish
Hello! My name is an Ocellaris Clownfish, but you can just call me a clownfish. I am a little fish, and I am bright orange with three super neat white stripes. A long time ago, around the year 1830, people first learned about little fish like me. I live in the big, warm ocean. My home is very special. It is called a sea anemone. It resembles flowers with numerous wavy tentacles. These arms keep me safe from bigger fish who might want to bother me. It is the coziest home in the whole sea!
I do not live all by myself! I live with my whole family, and we love to be together in our anemone home. We wiggle and waggle all day long. My mom is the biggest fish in our family, and she is the boss! We all help each other stay safe. When I get hungry, I love to nibble on tiny, yummy bits of food that float by in the water. Swimming around my home is so much fun. I do a little wiggly dance when I swim, and that is how I got my name, clownfish!
Living in my anemone is not just cozy, it is also a team effort. My anemone home keeps me safe, and I help it too! I make sure to keep our home very nice and clean by eating any little leftover bits of food. I also act as a little guard. I bravely chase away any other fish that might try to nibble on my anemone's beautiful arms. We are the best team! By helping my anemone, I help keep our part of the pretty coral reef healthy and bright for all the other sea creatures. We are still working together in the big ocean today!
