Napoleon Bonaparte
Hello! My name is Napoleon. I was born on a sunny island called Corsica. It was a long, long time ago, on August 15, 1769. I had a big family, and we all loved each other very much. As a little boy, I loved to run and play outside under the warm sun. I would pretend I was a soldier leading my friends on big adventures. I also loved to read lots of books. The stories in the books made me dream of doing big, important things one day to help people. I wanted to be brave and strong.
When I got a little bigger, my family sent me to a special school in a big country called France. At first, I felt a little bit lonely because I was far from home, but I knew I had to be brave. I worked very hard every day in my new school. I learned all about being a soldier and how to be a good leader. A leader is someone who helps keep people safe and happy. I learned that it was important to be fair and to work together as a team, just like when you play a game with your friends. Soon, because I studied so much, I was in charge of many soldiers. We all worked together to help France. People started to see that I was good at leading, and they trusted me to make good choices for them.
The people of France liked how I was a good leader. They chose me to be their most important leader, their Emperor. It was a very big job, but I was excited to help. I wanted to make everything better and fairer for everyone in the country. I helped create a special book of rules so that everyone was treated the same, no matter if they were rich or poor. I also helped build new roads to make traveling easier for families and opened new schools so all the children could learn to read and write. I always wanted to make France the best and safest it could be. My ideas about being fair helped people for many, many years, and that makes me very proud. It shows that even a boy from a small island can do big things if he works hard and cares about others.
