Just want Andean Condor?
Hi there! My name is Condor, and I'm an Andean Condor. I am a very, very big bird. My feathers are shiny and black, and I wear a fluffy, white feather collar that looks like a scarf. My favorite thing to do is stretch out my giant wings and soar high, high up in thesky above the tall Andes mountains where I live.
Up here in the clouds, I have a very important job. I am nature's cleanup crew! I use my super-sharp eyes to look for animals on the mountainside that have finished their time and have gone to sleep forever. When I find them, I eat them all up. This might sound a little yucky, but it's a big help! By cleaning up, I make sure the mountains stay fresh and healthy for all the other animals, like llamas and vicuñas, to live and play.
I can fly for hours and hours without even flapping my wings, just floating on the warm wind. It feels like I'm dancing in the air! Being a helper for my mountain home makes me very proud. I get to see the whole world from above while making sure it stays beautiful and clean for everyone. So if you ever look up and see a giant bird soaring, it might be me, watching over our wonderful world!
