Just want Spotted Hyena?

The story

The Laughing Helper of the Savanna

Hi there! My name is a Spotted Hyena, and I have a beautiful coat with lots of spots. I live in the warm sunshine of Africa with my big, big family. We call our family a clan, and we love to play and run together all day long. It is so much fun to be with my clan, and my spots help me hide in the tall grass when we play hide-and-seek.

Do you want to hear a secret? People say I laugh! When I get excited or want to talk to my clan, I make a silly sound: 'Whoop, whoop, giggle!' It's not because a joke is funny, it's just my special way of saying 'Hello!' to everyone. My voice is how I share my feelings with my family. In my clan, our moms are the leaders. They are super strong and smart, and they take great care of us. Our moms make sure we are always safe and happy in our sunny home.

I have a very important job. I'm one of nature's best helpers! I help keep our home clean by eating all the leftover bits of food that other animals leave behind. This makes sure nothing goes to waste and our home stays nice and tidy. I am proud to be a spotted hyena, keeping the savanna tidy and healthy for everyone. My work helps all my animal friends who live here with me.
