Just want Gloria Fuertes?
¡Hola! My name is Gloria Fuertes. I was born in a busy, sunny city called Madrid in Spain on July 28th, 1917. When I was a little girl, I loved to make up stories and rhymes. I wrote my very first poems in my notebook. I loved writing about everything I saw—dogs, cats, flowers, and all the funny things people did.
I believed that poems were not just for grown-ups; they were for kids, too! I wrote lots and lots of books filled with silly rhymes and happy thoughts. My poems were like little songs that could make you giggle. In the 1970s, I even had a job on television. I got to share my stories with children all across Spain. It was so much fun to see everyone smile when they heard my words.
I wrote stories and poems for my whole life. I lived to be 81 years old, and my heart was always full of words and rhymes. Even though I am no longer here, my poems are! They live in books on shelves and in the happy voices of children who still read them today. My biggest wish was to make you laugh, and I hope my words continue to bring you joy for a long, long time.
