Just want Ibn Khaldun?
Hello! My name is Ibn Khaldun. I was born in a sunny city called Tunis on May 27th, 1332. When I was a boy, I loved to read big books and listen to my teachers tell stories about people who lived a long, long time ago. Learning new things was my favorite game!
When I grew up, I went on many adventures! I traveled across the land and sailed on big boats across the sea. In the mid-1300s, I visited amazing places and met all sorts of people, from kings in their castles to families in cozy homes. I loved listening to their stories and learning how they lived, worked, and played together.
I decided to write down everything I had learned about people. Around the year 1377, I wrote a very special book. I called it the Muqaddimah. In my book, I shared my ideas about why some groups of people are strong and happy, and how cities grow. It was like a big story about how the world works.
I lived to be 74 years old and passed away in 1406. Even today, people all over the world read my book to understand how to be good neighbors and build happy communities. I am so glad that my ideas are still helping people learn about each other.
