Just want The Adventures of Tintin?
Imagine opening a book full of bright, colorful pictures. Wow. In my pages, you can see people running and jumping. You can see cars zooming and boats sailing on big, blue water. We can go on an adventure together. We can fly in a rocket all the way to the shiny, white moon. We can dive deep, deep down under the sea with the funny fish. You can do all of this just by sitting in your favorite chair and turning my pages. I am a book filled with stories and drawings. I am a comic book, and my name is The Adventures of Tintin.
A very kind man with a big imagination made me. His name was Hergé, and he lived in a country far away called Belgium. He loved to draw. One special day, on January 10th, 1929, he drew my very first story. That was a long, long time ago. In that story, he made my first friends. There is a brave boy named Tintin. He has a funny hairstyle that sticks straight up. And he has a little white dog named Snowy who is his very best friend. Snowy is so smart and loyal. Hergé made me so children like you could go on exciting trips and help Tintin and Snowy solve fun mysteries all around the world.
For many, many years, children and even grown-ups have loved to turn my pages. They smile when they see my stories. When you read my adventures, you meet all of my other friends, too. There is a grumpy sailor named Captain Haddock who says funny things. There are two silly detectives named Thomson and Thompson who look exactly alike. They make everyone giggle. I help you feel brave and curious, just like Tintin. I am always here, waiting on the shelf to share a new adventure with you. I show you that being a good friend and exploring our big, wonderful world is the best adventure of all.
