The story

A Story from the Stars

Hello. I am a storybook full of stars and secrets. I am The Little Prince. Inside my pages, you can see drawings of a little boy with hair as yellow as the sun. He loves his special rose. He also meets a friendly fox who teaches him about friendship. I am not just paper. I am a whole world of wonder. I am a journey to tiny, little planets in the big, big sky. I feel like a whisper from the stars, telling you a beautiful story about love.

My friend, the pilot, dreamed me up. A kind man named Antoine de Saint-Exupéry made me. He was a pilot who flew airplanes way up high in the clouds. He drew my pictures and wrote my words in a big city called New York. He started making me in 1942. He missed his home far away, so he filled me with happy and loving feelings. On April 6th, 1943, I was ready for everyone to read. I was a brand new book, ready to share my adventure with the whole world.

When you open my pages, you meet my little prince. You also learn a secret from the fox. The secret is that the most important things, like love and friends, can’t be seen with your eyes. You can only feel them with your heart. I help everyone remember to look at the world like it is magic. I remind you to take care of the people and things you love. I am a little book, but I hold a very big story about loving with your whole heart.
