Just want Fête de la Musique - French?
Hello! I am the Fête de la Musique. In the French language, my name means “Music Festival.” I am a happy and exciting day for celebrating all kinds of music. People observe me on the first day of summer, when the days are long and the sun is warm. It is the perfect time to be outside and listen to wonderful sounds. On my special day, every type of music is welcome, from loud, fast songs to quiet, slow songs.
When people celebrate me, they bring music outdoors for everyone to share. All over town, the streets and parks become musical stages. You can see people playing their guitars on sidewalks and friends singing their favorite songs together in a park. You might hear the fun tap-tap-tapping of drums or the beautiful sound of a violin. The air fills up with happy melodies, and the whole city feels like it is singing a cheerful song.
The best part about me is that all the music is completely free for everyone to enjoy. Anyone who wants to play an instrument or sing a song can share their talent. It feels like one big, happy party for your ears. Families can walk around together, listening to different musicians and dancing if they feel like it. I am a day for everyone to come together and share the joy of music.
