Just want Cronus?
Long, long ago, there was a king named Cronus. He was the king of everything. The world was shiny and new. It was a happy, sunny time when everyone played all day long. Play, play, play all day. But King Cronus was worried. He heard a tiny whisper that one of his children would be the new king one day. He did not want things to change. This is the story of King Cronus and how he learned that change can be a good thing.
King Cronus and his wife, Queen Rhea, had many children. So many wonderful children. But the king was still worried. He was very, very worried. He wanted to keep his children safe with him forever, so he tucked them away where they would always be close. But Queen Rhea had a secret plan. When her baby Zeus was born, she hid him far away. So far, far away on a green island. She gave the king a big, smooth stone instead of the baby. The stone was wrapped in a soft, cozy blanket. King Cronus held the stone and thought it was his baby. Shhh, it was a secret.
The baby Zeus grew up on his island. He grew big and strong. He grew so big and so strong. When he was all grown up, he came back. He played a clever trick on his daddy, King Cronus. The trick made the king let all the other children out. Pop. Out they came, all grown up too. It was time for a new adventure. King Cronus was not the king anymore. Now, Zeus was the new king of the big, blue sky. This story shows us that things are always changing. Like a little seed grows into a big flower. Every ending is just a new beginning.
