Just want King Eurystheus?
In a sunny land called Greece, a king lived in a tall, tall palace. He had a big idea. There was a man in his kingdom named Heracles who was stronger than anyone. He was so strong. So very, very strong. He could lift big rocks like they were fluffy pillows. The king thought of some very tricky jobs for Heracles to do. This is the story of the Twelve Labors of Heracles.
The king sent Heracles on amazing adventures. First, he had to catch a special deer with horns made of shiny gold. The deer was so fast. It went zip, zip, zip across the fields. Heracles ran fast, too. He was very gentle and brought the golden deer back. Next, the king wanted three golden apples from a secret garden. A sleepy dragon was watching over the apples. Heracles traveled over big mountains and blue seas. He was so clever, he got the shiny apples and showed them to the king. He did so many big jobs and met lots of amazing creatures.
Heracles finished all twelve jobs. The king was so happy and surprised. Heracles showed everyone that being a hero is not just about being strong. A hero is also smart and kind. A hero never, ever gives up, even when a job is super big. The story of Heracles reminds us that we can all be brave. We can all be kind and help others. When we do that, we are heroes, too.
