The story

Phra Aphai Mani and the Magic Flute

In a sunny, beautiful kingdom lived a kind prince. His name was Phra Aphai Mani. He had a wonderful secret. This is the story of Phra Aphai Mani. The prince could play a magic flute. When he played his flute, a sweet song floated in the air. The song was so peaceful. It made everyone feel sleepy. So sleepy. But a big adventure was about to begin for the prince and his magic flute.

One day, a big sea giantess heard the music. She was very, very lonely. She carried the prince far away to her home. It was a deep cave under the sea. The cave was filled with shiny, pretty shells. But the prince missed the warm sun. He missed his home. So he played a sad song on his magic flute. A family of kind mermaids heard his sad song. They had long, sparkly tails. The mermaid princess showed him a secret way to escape. They swam and swam through the big, blue sea. They swam past colorful fish and green, waving seaweed until they reached a new island.

On the new island, the prince was safe and happy. He still played his magic flute. He played happy songs of kindness and adventure. His story helps everyone remember that even when you feel lost, a kind friend can help you find your way. A sweet song can make you feel better, too. It is a story about the power of a gentle song.
