European Space Agency

Hello! We are the European Space Agency. Our short name is ESA. We are a very big team. Many countries in Europe decided to work together with us to do something special. Our job is to explore space, which is the big, dark sky high above our heads. We want to learn all the secrets of our amazing universe. It is a big job, so working together as a team is very important.

To travel into space, we build very big and strong rockets. It takes many smart people working together to build one rocket. These rockets are so powerful they go up, up, up into the sky, flying right past the clouds. Our rockets carry special tools called satellites. We send these satellites out into space so they can fly around our world. They are like our helpers high in the sky. The satellites watch our planet, Earth, and send information back to us. They help us learn all about our home.

We don't just look at our own planet from space. We also look very, very far away into deep space. To do this, we use special tools called telescopes. Our telescopes are like giant eyes that can see things that are millions and millions of miles away. They help us take beautiful pictures of bright, twinkling stars. We also take pictures of the colorful planets in our solar system and even planets that are farther away.

Looking at these amazing pictures helps us understand our universe a little better. Every day, we are still working together as a team to explore space. We want to keep learning about planets, stars, and everything else that is out there. Our work helps everyone on Earth learn more about the wonderful and mysterious universe we all live in.
