Just want Kogi People?
Hello! We are the Kogi people. We live high up in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta mountains. Our home is in a country called Colombia. We believe our home is a very special place. We call it the 'Heart of the World.'
We build our homes here in the mountains. Our houses are cozy and round. To build them, we use natural materials that we find all around us in the forest. We use strong wood and soft leaves to make our homes safe and warm. Living here helps us stay close to nature.
We wear special clothes that are all white. Our white clothes remind us of the pure, clean snow that sits on the very tops of our mountain peaks. The color white is important to us.
We have a very important job. We believe that the Earth is alive, like a big, breathing person. It is our job to be the caretakers of the Earth. We work to keep the world healthy and balanced.
We are still here today in our mountain home. We continue to do our important work. We take care of the Earth for ourselves, and for everyone who lives on it.
