Just want Torres del Paine?
I have tall, pointy mountains that look like big gray towers. My lakes are blue and sparkly, like shiny jewels. Big rivers of ice slide down my mountains. These are called glaciers. I am a special place for everyone to enjoy. I am Torres del Paine National Park. I live way down at the very tip of South America, in a country called Chile.
A long, long time ago, big ice rivers made me beautiful. They carved my pointy peaks and my shiny lakes. Then, the first people came to live here. They were called the Aónikenk people. They knew all my secret paths and took good care of me. Then, one day, other people decided I was so special that I needed to be kept safe forever. On a happy day, May 13th, 1959, I became a national park. Now I am a home for animals and a happy place for friends to visit.
Today, friends from all over the world come to see me. They walk on my paths and watch big birds called condors fly high in the sky. I am a happy home for fluffy animals called guanacos, shy deer, and even sneaky pumas. I love to share my tall mountains and blue lakes with you. I hope you can come see my pointy towers touch the sky one day.
