Just want Confidence?
Hi there! My name is Confidence. I am that warm, strong feeling you get inside when you believe in yourself. I am learning to be brave, and I'm here to help you try new things, even if they seem a little scary at first.
I remember a boy named Leo who had show-and-tell in his 2nd-grade class. He loved his new dinosaur toy, but thinking about talking in front of everyone made his tummy feel wobbly. I was there with him, but I was very small because another feeling, Doubt, was being very loud.
Leo decided to practice his talk with his grandma. Every time he described the T-Rex's big teeth, I grew a little bigger. On the day of show-and-tell, he took a deep breath and remembered his practice. He also saw his best friend give him a thumbs-up. I puffed up in his chest, and he shared his dinosaur with a clear, proud voice.
I don't make scary things disappear, but I help you be brave enough to face them. I continue to help people today by giving them the strength to raise their hand, try out for the soccer team, or make a new friend. I am inside everyone, and the more you practice and try, the stronger I get.
