Just want Nonviolence?
Hi there! My name is Nonviolence, and I am a way of being strong without being mean. I am the choice you make to use your words and smart ideas to solve problems instead of your fists. When someone on the playground makes you angry, I am the feeling that helps you take a deep breath and talk it out instead of pushing.
I help people make big, important changes. A brave leader named Mahatma Gandhi used me in India. On the 12th of March, 1930, he led a long, peaceful walk to protest an unfair rule. Later, in America, a man named Martin Luther King Jr. used my power on the 28th of August, 1963, when he led a huge march for fairness. Today, I am still here to help you stand up for what’s right, whether it’s by starting a petition or simply refusing to join in when others are being unkind.
I am always here, helping people find strength in kindness. My story matters because it shows that you don't have to be the loudest or the strongest physically to make the world a better place. I continue to show that choosing peace is a powerful way to create change.
