Just want Bornean Orangutan?
Hello. People call me a Bornean Orangutan, which means 'person of the forest.' I have very long, reddish-brown hair that keeps me warm. My favorite things about myself are my super-long arms. They are perfect for my life in the treetops. I live high up in the branches on a big island called Borneo, and it is the best home for me.
I have a very busy day here in the trees. All day long, I use my long arms to swing from one branch to another. It is my favorite way to travel. While I swing, I look for yummy fruits to eat, and I especially love sweet figs. When it gets dark, it is time to get ready for sleep. I do something special every single night. I build a brand new bed for myself using lots of soft leaves. My cozy bed is high in the canopy, where I can rest safely.
I have a very important job in my forest home. You could call me a gardener of the forest. When I eat delicious fruit, I move around and help spread the seeds all over the forest floor. These tiny seeds then grow into new trees that become big and strong. By helping new trees grow, I make sure the rainforest stays a happy and healthy home for everyone who lives here. Taking care of my home is the best job of all.
