Just want Giganotosaurus?
Hi there. My name is Giganotosaurus. That is a super big name because I was a super big dinosaur. My name means 'giant southern lizard.' I was one of the biggest meat-eating dinosaurs to ever walk on the Earth. I was so long, I was bigger than a school bus. When I walked around, my giant feet made the whole ground shake. STOMP. STOMP. STOMP. Everyone knew when I was coming.
Because I was so big, I had a big, rumbling tummy that was always hungry. I was always looking for a yummy lunch. To help me eat, I had lots of sharp teeth. They were like little knives, perfect for slicing my food. I did not chew my food. I just swallowed everything in big gulps. I loved to run on my two powerful legs to chase after my meals. Whoosh. I was very fast.
I lived a very, very long time ago in a time called the Cretaceous Period. The world was warm and full of huge plants and other dinosaurs. Much later, in 1993, a man found my bones in a place called Argentina. Now, scientists study my bones to learn all about the amazing world of dinosaurs. I help show everyone just how big and incredible life was, long, long ago.
