Just want Lemming?
Hi there! My name is Lemming, and I'm a small, round, fuzzy animal. My fur is super soft and thick to keep me warm, because I live where it's very cold and snowy! My home is called the tundra. It's a big, open place with lots of wind, but I have a cozy secret to staying warm.
My favorite thing to do is dig, dig, dig! When the world is covered in a big white blanket of snow, I don't get cold. I burrow underneath it and create a whole world of secret tunnels! These snow tunnels are my highways. They keep me safe from the chilly wind and hide me from big birds flying above. I scamper through my tunnels to find yummy food to eat, like tasty plant roots and mosses that are hidden under the snow. It's like having my own secret fort and kitchen all in one!
Even though I'm just a little guy, I have a very big and important job. I am a super tasty snack for other animals in the tundra, like the beautiful snowy owl and the clever arctic fox. By sharing my energy with them, I help them grow strong and healthy. I am a helper for my whole neighborhood, and that makes me feel very proud. Being a lemming is the best job in the world!
