Just want Pink River Dolphin?
Hello! I am an Amazon River Dolphin. I live in a very big river called the Amazon River in South America. This is my home! I am a special dolphin because I live in a freshwater river. Most dolphins live in the salty ocean, but not me. I love my river. I am also special because my skin can be a very pretty pink color. That is why some people call me a pink river dolphin. Isn't that a lovely name?
Every day, I swim, swim, swim through the brown river water. The water is murky, which means it can be hard to see. But I have a long snout that looks like a beak. It is perfect for poking around in the mud to find yummy fish to eat. I have a special secret for finding my food. I make little clicking sounds with my mouth. Click, click, click! The sounds bounce back to me, and I can hear them. This helps me 'see' with my ears! It tells me where the fish are and helps me swim without bumping into anything.
When you see me swimming and playing in the water, it is a very good sign. It means the river is healthy and happy. I am like a helper for my home. I love my river very much. It is so important for everyone to help keep the waters clean. This keeps me and all of my fish friends safe and happy in our home.
