Roaches

Hello. I am a little roach. My body is very shiny, and I have six legs that tickle when I walk. Can you see my long, wiggly antennae? I use them to feel and smell everything around me. It is so nice to meet you.

Did you know that I am a super cleaner? It is my favorite job. My family and I have been helping clean for a very long time, even back in the year 1900. I love to eat tiny crumbs and little bits of food that fall on the floor. I come out at night when it is dark and quiet to do my important cleaning work. During the day, I love to hide in cozy, dark spaces where I feel safe and can rest until it is time to clean again.

My cleaning job is very important for the world. By eating up all the little leftovers, I help keep everything neat and tidy. I may be a tiny bug, but I have a big, helpful role. Today, my family and I are still busy cleaning and helping our ecosystem stay healthy. It is important work.
