Just want Charles Perrault?
Hello. My name is Charles Perrault. I have a secret for you. I love stories. When I was a little boy in a big city called Paris a long, long time ago, I listened to stories. I heard tales of brave heroes, magical fairies, and talking animals. These stories made me so happy. I wanted to share them with everyone.
As I grew up, I decided to write down all my favorite stories. I wanted to make sure they would never be forgotten. Do you know the story of a girl who loses her glass slipper? That is my story, 'Cinderella'. I also wrote about a princess who sleeps for one hundred years. That story is called 'Sleeping Beauty'. I also wrote about a little girl in a red cape and a smart cat who wears boots. I put all of these wonderful adventures into a special book in the year 1697. I wrote them so children like you could enjoy them forever.
I lived to be 75 years old. My greatest joy was knowing my stories made people smile. Even though I am not here anymore, my fairy tales live on. Whenever you read about Cinderella or Puss in Boots, it is like I am sharing a little bit of magic with you. My stories are my way of saying hello, for happily ever after.
