Just want Hezârfen Ahmed Çelebi?
Hello! My name is Ahmed. I lived a long, long time ago. My favorite thing to do was watch the birds fly high in the sky. I wished I could fly just like them and see the world from way up high.
I watched how the birds used their wings to glide on the wind. It looked like so much fun. I decided I would make my own wings! I worked very hard and built a giant pair of wings, just like a big eagle. They were strong and ready for an adventure.
One sunny day in the year 1632, I climbed to the very top of a tall tower called the Galata Tower. It was very high up. I put on my wings, took a big breath, and I leaped into the air! I was flying! I soared across the big blue water, and all the boats and houses looked like tiny toys below me.
People still tell the story of my amazing flight. It reminds everyone that if you have a big dream and you are brave, you can do wonderful things. I hope my story makes you want to follow your dreams, too!
