Just want Inca Garcilaso de la Vega?
Hello. My name is Garcilaso de la Vega, but you can call me the Inca. I was born a long, long time ago, in the year 1539, in a beautiful city called Cusco, high up in the mountains of Peru. My life was very special because I was part of two different worlds. My father was a brave captain from Spain, and my mother was a real Inca princess. This meant I learned about the ways of the Spanish people and the amazing stories of the Inca people.
When I was a little boy, my favorite thing to do was sit with my mother's family. They would tell me wonderful stories about my Inca ancestors. They told me about their powerful kings, called Sapa Incas, and the incredible cities they built, like Machu Picchu. I listened to every word and kept all their stories safe in my heart, like precious treasures.
When I grew up, I moved far away to a country called Spain. I missed my home and the stories of my mother's people. I decided that everyone should know about the incredible Inca Empire. So, I picked up a pen and started to write. I wrote down all the stories I had learned as a boy in a big book so that the history of the Inca would never be forgotten.
I wrote my books so the world could learn about and remember the Inca. I lived to be 77 years old. Today, people still read my books to hear the amazing stories of my mother's people. I am so happy I could share their world with you and everyone.
