The story

Jahangir

Hello! My name is Jahangir, but when I was a little boy, my name was Salim. My father was a great emperor named Akbar. I grew up in a big, beautiful palace as a prince. I had everything a boy could wish for!

I loved animals so much! I had gentle elephants, speedy cheetahs, and birds that sang sweet songs. I thought animals and flowers were so beautiful that I asked my best artists to paint pictures of them. I also loved making gardens. I would fill them with colorful flowers and splashing fountains so everyone could enjoy their beauty.

I grew up to become the emperor, just like my father. I lived a full life and made my empire a beautiful place. Today, people can still see the lovely paintings of birds and flowers that I loved so much. They remember me as the emperor who filled the world with art and beautiful gardens.
