The story

Brutus of Rome

Hello! My name is Brutus. I lived a long, long time ago in a big, busy city called Rome. Rome had tall, beautiful buildings and streets filled with people. I loved my home and I always wanted to help make it a happy and fair place for everyone who lived there.

I was a leader in Rome, which was called being a senator. It was my job to help make good choices for all the people in our city. I had a friend named Julius Caesar, and he was a very important leader, too. I believed that it was best when many people worked together to lead. I felt it was important that not just one person had all the power to make the big decisions.

I am remembered for loving my city of Rome so much. The idea I cared about most was that everyone should have a say in how their home is run. It is a very big and important idea that people all over the world still believe in today. I wanted to make sure Rome was always a place where people could share in making the rules together.
