Just want Maria Anna Mozart?
Hello! My name is Maria Anna Mozart, but my family always called me Nannerl. I want to tell you my story. A long, long time ago, in the 1700s, I lived in a house in Salzburg, Austria, that was always filled with music. I had a very famous little brother named Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Our father, Leopold, was a musician, and he taught me how to play the harpsichord. A harpsichord is like an old-fashioned piano, and I loved it so much.
When I was just a girl, my father decided my music was too special to keep at home. So, my brother and I went on a big adventure. We traveled all over Europe together in a carriage. We played our music for very important people, like kings and queens in their fancy palaces. Everyone would clap and cheer when my brother and I played together. It was so much fun to share our music with everyone.
Playing music made me happy my whole life. When I grew up, I stopped traveling, but I never stopped playing. I became a music teacher and taught lots of children how to make their own beautiful songs on the piano. I lived to be 78 years old. I am remembered as a wonderful musician who shared the joy of music with my famous brother and so many others.
