Just want Mark Antony?
Hello, my name is Marcus Antonius, but many people throughout history know me as Mark Antony. My story begins in the great city of Rome, where I was born into a noble family around the year 83 BCE. Growing up, I was inspired by my grandfather, who was famous for being a wonderful public speaker. I listened and learned from him, practicing how to use my voice to capture people's attention. From a young age, I dreamed of more than just giving speeches. I wanted to be a brave soldier and a great leader for Rome, leading armies and making my family proud. I knew that to achieve my dreams, I would have to be strong, smart, and courageous.
My big adventure began in 54 BCE when I traveled to a land called Gaul to join the army of a relative of mine, the famous general Julius Caesar. He saw potential in me and gave me the important job of being a commander. Leading soldiers was a great responsibility. I worked hard to be a fair and brave leader, and because of this, I earned the trust and respect of the men I led in battle. Julius Caesar became my mentor and a very close friend. He taught me so much about being a general and a leader. When a civil war started in Rome around 49 BCE, I stood by his side. I was loyal to him and fought to support him, proving that he could always count on me.
One of the saddest days of my life was March 15th, 44 BCE. On that day, my friend Julius Caesar was assassinated by a group of his enemies. Rome was in chaos, and I knew I had to do something. At his funeral, I gave a powerful speech about Caesar that made the people of Rome very angry at the men who had hurt him. To bring peace and order back to the city, I joined together with two other powerful men in 43 BCE. One was Caesar's adopted son, Octavian, and the other was a general named Lepidus. Together, we formed a group called the Second Triumvirate. Our main goal was to find Caesar's assassins and bring them to justice. We succeeded in 42 BCE when our armies defeated them at the Battle of Philippi.

We succeeded in 42 BCE when our armies defeated them at the Battle of Philippi.
After our victory, I traveled to the eastern provinces of the Roman Republic to govern them. It was there, in 41 BCE, that I met Cleopatra, the brilliant and powerful Queen of Egypt. We quickly realized that we could help each other, and we became strong allies and partners. We ruled our parts of the world together, and our partnership was very successful. However, my close relationship with Cleopatra caused problems back in Rome. My co-ruler, Octavian, grew suspicious of my power and my connection to Egypt. Our friendship turned into a rivalry, and we became enemies fighting for control of Rome. This conflict grew until it led to a final, great sea battle at Actium on September 2nd, 31 BCE, where my forces were defeated by Octavian's navy.
After the defeat at Actium, my story came to its end in Alexandria, Egypt, in the year 30 BCE. I lived to be 53 years old. My life was filled with amazing victories and difficult losses, and I was a central figure in a time of great change for Rome. I am remembered today as a skilled Roman general and a passionate leader. My actions, and especially my rivalry with Octavian, marked the end of the Roman Republic and helped begin the powerful new Roman Empire.
