Just want Max Weber?
Hello! My name is Max Weber. I was born a long, long time ago, on April 21st, 1864. When I was a little boy, I loved to read big, big books. The pages were full of words and ideas! I was always asking questions. I would ask, 'Why do people do the things they do?' I wanted to know why we all live together in families and towns. It was a big puzzle I wanted to figure out.
When I grew up, I became a special kind of thinker called a sociologist. That's a big word that means I thought about people! I thought about all the different jobs people have, like being a teacher or a baker. I also thought about the rules we all follow to be kind and fair. It was like I was a detective. I looked for clues to understand how everyone in a town fits together, like puzzle pieces making one big picture.
I wrote all my big ideas down in many books so I could share them with everyone. I lived to be 56 years old, and my life ended in the year 1920. Even though I am not here anymore, people still read my books. My ideas help us learn how to live together nicely and make our world a better and fairer place for everyone.
