Hello! My name is Michael. A long time ago, in the year 1929, I was born. When I was a little boy, my favorite thing to do was imagine. My father, Edgar, was a painter, and our house was filled with pictures of magical creatures and faraway lands. I would look at his paintings and dream up wonderful stories about them.
When I grew up, I decided to write my stories down for everyone to read. In the year 1973, I wrote about a little girl named Momo. She was a wonderful listener, and she helped her friends save their time from sneaky grey men who wanted to steal it. Later, in 1979, I wrote another story about a boy who finds a special book called *The Neverending Story*. When he reads it, he meets a fluffy, flying luckdragon named Falkor!
I lived a life full of stories until I was 65 years old. The best part is that my adventures never ended. They live on today, every time children like you open one of my books and let your own wonderful imagination fly.
