Just want Ovid?
Hello! My name is Ovid. I lived a very, very long time ago in a big, busy city called Rome. It was a place full of sunshine, amazing buildings, and lots of people. Ever since I was a little boy, I loved words. I loved how they could paint pictures in your mind and tell exciting stories.
My favorite thing to do was write poems. Poems are like songs without music! I wrote stories about magical changes. Imagine a brave girl who becomes a spider, or a handsome boy who turns into a beautiful flower. I wrote about shining stars in the sky that used to be people! I filled my books with wonderful tales about heroes, gods, and amazing adventures. It was so much fun to think of these incredible transformations and share them with everyone.
I had to move far away from my home in Rome, but my stories stayed. They traveled all over the world, making new friends everywhere they went. I lived to be about 60 years old, and even after I was gone, people kept reading my poems. Today, children and grown-ups still open my books to read about the magical world I created. My stories are my way of saying hello to you, even after all this time!
