A Story About Prince Philip

Hello! My name is Philip. When I was born on June 10th, 1921, I was a prince in a sunny place called Greece. I loved the big, blue sea and dreamed of being a sailor. I spent a lot of time on boats and learned all about the ocean.

One day, I met a wonderful princess named Elizabeth. We became the best of friends and fell in love. We got married on November 20th, 1947, and it was a very happy day. Later, she became Queen Elizabeth II, and my most important job was to help her. We were a team for many, many years.

Being part of the Royal Family meant I had many special jobs. I loved meeting people all over the world. I also cared a lot about animals and wanted to protect our beautiful planet. I started a special club in 1956 to help young people like you learn new things, go on adventures, and help others.

I lived to be 99 years old, which is a very long time. After a full and happy life, I passed away in 2021. People remember me for always being there to support the Queen and for my work helping young people discover how amazing they can be. It always made me happy to see others smile.
