Just want Pythagoras?
Hello! My name is Pythagoras. A long, long time ago, I lived on a sunny island called Samos. Even when I was a little boy, I loved numbers! To me, numbers were not just for counting. They were like secret puzzle pieces that built the whole world. I saw numbers in the stars in the sky, in the shapes of buildings, and even in pretty flowers.
One of my favorite things was music. I discovered something amazing: music is made of numbers, too! I found that different lengths of string made different musical notes, like a song. A short string made a high sound, and a long string made a low sound. I loved sharing my ideas, so I started a school. My friends and I would talk all day about numbers, music, and the beautiful patterns we found everywhere.
I lived a long and happy life filled with numbers and music. I lived to be around 75 years old. Even though I am not here anymore, my ideas are! People remember me today because I showed everyone that numbers are a special key to understanding our amazing world. They are in everything, just waiting for you to find them!
