Just want Queen Victoria?
Hello! My name is Victoria. When I was a little girl, I loved to play with my dolls and my little dog, Dash. One day in 1837, when I was only 18 years old, I found out I was going to be the queen! It was a very big job for a young person, but I promised to do my very best for all my people. I wanted to be a kind and helpful queen for everyone.
A few years later, in 1840, I married a wonderful prince named Albert. He was my best friend. We loved each other very much and had a big, happy family with nine children! Our palace was always full of running, playing, and laughter. Albert was very kind and smart, and he always helped me with my important work as queen. He was a great partner and a wonderful father.
I was the queen for a very, very long time—more than 63 years! That's longer than your mommy and daddy have been alive. I tried hard to be a good and caring queen every single day. I lived a long and happy life until I was 81 years old. Today, people remember me as Queen Victoria, and they remember the special time when I was queen, which they named after me: the Victorian Age.
