Just want William Wordsworth?
Hello. My name is William Wordsworth. A long, long time ago, I lived in a beautiful place in England called the Lake District. It had big, sparkling lakes and tall, green mountains. My favorite thing to do was to go for long, long walks. I loved exploring the woods, watching the fluffy clouds float by, and listening to the birds sing their happy songs.
My sister, Dorothy, and I would walk for miles and miles. We saw so many wonderful things. One day, we saw a giant field full of bright yellow flowers called daffodils, all dancing in the breeze. Seeing them made my heart feel full of sunshine. I wanted to keep that happy feeling forever, so I wrote down my thoughts. That’s how I started writing poems—to share the amazing feelings nature gave me.
I wrote many poems about the beautiful world around me so that everyone could enjoy it. I lived to be 80 years old. I spent my life sharing my love for nature. Today, people still read my poems to remember to look closely at the wonderful flowers, trees, and clouds all around them.
