The story

Zaha Hadid: A World of Curves

Hello. My name is Zaha. I was born in a city called Baghdad a long time ago. In my city, I loved to watch the big rivers flow. I loved to see the sand dunes swoop and curve. Even when I was a little girl, I loved to draw. I would imagine amazing shapes. I drew new kinds of buildings, fun furniture, and everything I could think of.

When I grew up, I became an architect. An architect is a person who designs buildings where people can live, work, and play. I did not want to make boring, straight boxes. That was not my dream. My buildings are different. They swoosh and swirl. They curve and flow, just like the waves in the ocean. Some people say they look like sleek spaceships from the future.

My big ideas turned into real buildings. You can see them all over the world, and people can visit them today. I lived to be 65 years old. My curvy, dreamy buildings are still standing tall for everyone to enjoy. I hope they make you feel happy and inspire you to always dream big, too.
