Have you ever planted a tiny seed and watched it grow. You put a little seed in the soft dirt. You give it water and warm sun. Then, poof. A big, bright flower grows. Or maybe a yummy red tomato. You gave it something small now, and you got something wonderful later. That's me. I help little things grow into big things. I am Investing.

A long, long, long time ago, farmers learned my secret. They lived in a warm place called Mesopotamia, way back around 1754 BCE. They found out that if they saved some of their yummy grain, they could plant it later. Then, they would have lots and lots of food for everyone. That was me helping them. Many years later, on March 20th, 1602, some friends used me to do something exciting. They all put their money together to build big, strong ships. The ships sailed on adventures across the big, blue ocean. Everyone shared the adventure and shared the treasures they found. It was a new way to use my magic.

Today, I am still helping people's dreams grow big and strong. When your family saves money for a fun vacation or a shiny new car, I am there. I help their money grow a little bit bigger. I help build new playgrounds with tall slides and fun schools with bright colors. Every time you put a shiny coin into your piggy bank, you are using my special magic.
