I am the invisible friend who holds your hand when you explore the big, wonderful world inside a computer or tablet. It’s a magical place with colorful cartoons, fun games, and pictures of faraway places. I make sure your adventures there are always happy and safe, like when a grown-up helps you cross the street. You can't see me, but I'm always there to help you make smart choices. I am Online Safety.

A long time ago, when many of your parents were little kids in the 1990s, the internet was brand new to families. Everyone was so excited to explore. But soon, grown-ups realized this new playground needed some rules to keep everyone safe and happy. They decided that just like you don’t tell secrets like your address to people you don’t know at the park, you shouldn't share them online either. Around the year 2000, they made special rules to help protect kids just like you. That’s when they really started calling on me to help out and be your special guide.

Today, I am your special online superpower. I help you remember to ask a grown-up for permission before you click on something new or play a new game. If anything ever makes you feel yucky or confused, I am the little voice that reminds you to tell your favorite grown-up right away. With me by your side, you can safely watch videos, play learning games, and even wave hello to your grandma on a video call. I help you have lots of fun and learn amazing new things, all while keeping you safe and sound.
