Just want Satyagraha?
Have you ever felt a little wiggle in your heart when something just isn’t fair? Maybe someone isn't sharing a toy. Instead of making a loud noise, you feel a quiet whisper that wants to make things right with kindness. It’s a warm feeling that wants to help without any pushing or yelling. It’s like showing a friend how to be gentle with a flower instead of telling them loudly. That special, quiet feeling is me.
Hello. My name is Satyagraha. It’s a big word, but it just means 'holding onto truth'. A very kind man named Mahatma Gandhi gave me my name a long, long time ago, around the year 1906. He was in a sunny place called South Africa and saw some rules that were not fair. He used me to show everyone that being peaceful is a very strong way to be. He didn't use angry hands or words. He used me. One day, on March 12th, 1930, he took a very long, peaceful walk with many friends in a country called India. They walked and walked for many days to show that an unfair rule was wrong, all with happy hearts and quiet feet.
I am like a superpower of peace that lives inside you. When you see something that isn't fair and you use your kind words and gentle hands to help, you are using me. You don't need to shout to be strong. You can be strong by being good and true. Holding onto what is right with a loving heart is the biggest power of all. I am still here today, helping people all over the world make things kinder and fairer for everyone to share.
