Just want Science Fiction?
Have you ever looked up at the moon and wondered what it would be like to walk on its dusty surface? Or have you ever imagined building a robot friend who could do your chores and tell you jokes? What if you could zoom into the future in a time machine or meet friendly, gooey aliens from another galaxy? Those big, exciting 'what if' questions are where I live. I am the spark in your imagination that takes what you know about science and stretches it into an amazing adventure. Before people knew my name, they felt me in their daydreams about flying through the clouds like a bird or diving to the bottom of the ocean in a special submarine. I am the whisper that asks, 'What could happen next?'
Hello there. My name is Science Fiction. For a long, long time, people have been telling stories with me. One of my very first storytellers was a clever woman named Mary Shelley. Way back on January 1st, 1818, she wrote a famous book called *Frankenstein*, about a scientist who creates a new life. It was a spooky, wonderful story that made people think about what science could do. Then, in the late 1800s, two amazing writers helped me grow even bigger. A man from France named Jules Verne used me to take readers on incredible journeys. In 1865, he wrote about launching people to the Moon, and in 1870, he imagined a submarine exploring deep under the sea. Around the same time, an English writer named H.G. Wells used me to dream up even more fantastic ideas. In 1895, he wrote about a man who built a machine to travel through time, and in 1898, he told a story about visitors arriving from the planet Mars. These storytellers showed everyone how exciting I could be.

As time went on, I blasted off. I appeared in colorful magazines, on the radio, and then in movies and TV shows with flashing spaceships and cool robots. The best part is that my stories didn't just stay on the page or screen. They inspired real scientists and inventors to build amazing things, like rockets that have actually traveled to the Moon and robots that explore other planets. Today, I am still here to help you dream. I let you explore the biggest questions and imagine worlds that don’t exist… yet. I am a playground for your mind, where you can build the future, one brilliant idea at a time. So, what amazing future will you dream up with me?
